Elisha Feeds Many People with a Little Food
One way that God shows His love is by giving food for hungry people. Sometimes, He does this by working through those who love Him. Other times, He does miracles. Another story of God making a little food feed many people happened when Jesus fed 5,000 men with five loaves of bread and two small fish.
And there came a man from Baalshalisha and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, “Give unto the people that they may eat.”
And his servitor said, “What, should I set this before an hundred men?”
He said again, “Give the people that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, 'They shall eat and shall leave thereof.'”
So he set it before them, and they did eat and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.
(2 Kings 4:42-44)

firstfruits: the very first crops harvested each year. These were given as an offering to God.
husk: the material surrounding grain when it is removed from the stem
