he in God.

also records the birth of Jesus Christ, with additional
details.)

Romans

You will notice the term
“Saviour” or, in modern English, “Savior” in 1 John 4:14 and in Luke 2. You will
see the related words “saved” and “salvation” in some of our related Scriptures.
We will be studying this subject in more depth when we come to 1 John 5:10-13.
For now, you need to keep in mind that “saved” isn’t just a religious buzzword.
It describes a condition in which a guilty person who deserves God’s judgment in
Hell and who isn’t on speaking terms with God has his or her sins forgiven, is
put on a friendly basis with God, and has his or her final destination changed
from Hell to Heaven. Salvation, of course, is the noun form of the verb to
save, and the Savior is the One who gives us salvation. Pay careful
attention to the related Scriptures for this lesson, as they will show you how
you can be saved.
